What’s Going on at AccessAR: June Update

AccessAR has had an absolutely epic month and we’ve worked with some awesome clients on Snapchat augmented reality lens campaigns that are being launched across Canada and the US this summer.

We had the opportunity to  collaborate with Canada’s top marketing and communications agency, transform esports Overwatch superfans into a New York Excelsior team member, and help Lamar University in Texas welcome prospective students by using the school colors to show them how it feels to be #LUBound.

We’ve been having so much fun with our Snapchat lenses that it’s hard to imagine more on the way, but we’re set to launch our first Instagram AR filter with brand partner Fatso Peanut Butter, a North American cult favourite found at grocery stores across the US and Canada. Feeds with less than 100K followers are being approved by the platform on a case-by-case basis, so reach out if you’d like us to submit a proposal for your brand, company or event now!

#WeTheNorthDay: Snapchat Face & World Lens

After the Raptor’s triumphant win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA finals on June 13, the city of Toronto declared the following Monday an unofficial holiday for #WeTheNorthDay. Over a million people turned out for the celebratory parade in the centre of the city, and we launched a Raptor’s Face & World lens that overlays the team branding onto fans’ faces before prompting them to flip to the rear camera. A vicious animated Raptor in a Kawhi Leonard jersey drops into the frame, chewing up and spitting out Steph Curry’s famous #30.

The New York Excelsior: NYXL x T-Mobile - Snapchat Face Lens

Professional eSports tournaments pack stadiums and Overwatch, a team-based shooter game, is a fan favourite. The New York Excelsior are competing against the London Spitfires today at the Blizzard Arena in Burbank, California, and a Snapchat face lens will allow users to show their support the league’s most popular team by donning their blue jersey and graphic face paint and confetti that incorporates sponsor T-Mobile’s brand colours. The unique Snapcode fans will use to access the lens experience features an image of team member “Big Boss” Kim “Pine” Do-hyeon in the center.

Lamar University: Snapchat Face Lens

Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas reached out to us to help hype up prospective students visiting their campus on orientation days. Working with their Social Media Marketing team, we created a face lens experience that shows what being part of the LU family is all about, decking them out in school jersey colours, confetti, and face paint to trick out their on-campus selfies. We've got a second face lens experience featuring the Cardinals Big Red and Lu, their hype-tastic school mascots, coming soon!

INDE x AccessAR

AccessAR represents global AR company INDE in Canada, and we’re  excited to share news of their partnership with Brookfield Properties to launch the world’s first augmented reality display network. Using the most advanced Augmented Reality technology, INDE has designed a system that delivers branded immersive experiences on any large-format digital display in any retail space—a cutting-edge media space unlike anything currently on the market.

See how INDE uses the HeroMirror to engage visitors at Madame Tussauds Museum, bringing Alexander Hamilton to life as the host an AR game show with prizes and pictures!

At this year’s National Geographic Explorers Festival, INDE was chosen to use their cutting edge technology to help keep the Sumatran Rhino legacy alive. Using 3D assets from National Geographic, the INDE team had a life-size version of the mammal walk around the auditorium during the event.

Reach out to us to find out how you can integrate INDE's suite of off-the-shelf and custom AR experiences into your marketing and advertising campaign or at your next event!
